Sharing is caring!

Strawberry Crunch Topping or strawberry shortcake crumbles is an easy-to-make crumble that is perfect for adding to ice cream, cookies, cakes, pies, and more. Strawberry Crunch Topping uses only 3 ingredients and is ready in under 15 minutes.

This strawberry crunch topping recipe does not use pudding mix or flour, but instead golden Oreos. Strawberry crunch topping is a fun reddish-pink color and adds a lovely pop of color and flavor to any of your desserts. I used mine on Strawberry Cheesecake Hot Cocoa Bombs.

Strawberry Crunch Topping

Strawberry Crunch Topping is so easy to make and can be used in a variety of ways. Add it as a topping to your ice cream, on top blondies, frosted sugar cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and even a pie.

How to Store Strawberry Crunch Topping

Store strawberry crunch topping for 2-3 months in your pantry in an airtight container or 4-6 months in the fridge or freezer in an airtight container.

However, I would recommend using the crumbles within a week or so for maximum freshness.

Strawberry Shortcake Crumble Topping Tips & Tricks

Instead of parchment paper, you can use a silicone baking mat. These are the ones I use for baking.

Change the Flavors of your crumble topping up with different jello mixes. See full instructions here.

If you can only find a 6oz box of strawberry jello you can use that. Just double the butter and Oreos. This essentially makes a double batch.

I didn't want mine so strong so I used whole package of cookies and not quite doubled on butter. These were great on strawberry shortcake.

Have you tried both the jello and the freeze dried fruit? I am just curious which one tastes better.

When you use Oreos do you leave the cream in them or scrape off. For this recipe strawberry crunch topping.

Can I substitute strawberry kool-aid for the strawberry jello in the crunch coating for vegetarians?

I am not sure how that would work, but you could try. You could also use crushed freeze-dried strawberries. Use 1 cup and turn them into a powder in your food processor.
