Family Nights are our thing. We love spending time together as a family and it helps to bring us closer in the chaos that is life. We try to have one once a week and I love them for the simply fact that I am spending an evening with just my little crew of people, we’re laughing, we’re eating, and we’re having fun. I really believe that family nights are important and everyone should take time to do them. Family nights are always different. Sometimes it’s going out to a movie, doing something fun like Disney on Ice, or it’s staying at home and watching a movie and playing games.

Family game nights are a top pick and our family likes to stick with 3 essentials when it comes to game night. Good food, having fun, and our little family. Having your family at game night is a given, right? You can’t have one without them, but it’s the first essential on my list. Followed by fun games and good food. I like to stock up at Walmart for our game night essentials like Chicken wings and new games.

When it comes to games we’re a classic game type of family. Endless rounds of Uno, tic-tac-toe, chutes and ladders, and connect 4 to name a few. Some nights we’ll bust out the video games and have what we like to call the Mario Kart Wars.

When it comes to food we don’t play around. We like to make a buffet of everyone’s favorite foods. Frank’s RedHot Wings are always a must because our family loves chicken wings and we like to have all the flavors – Classic, Buffalo, and Kickin’ BBQ. Different nights call for different foods, but wings are always a must have. Some nights we’ll have pasta with the wings, we’ll order pizza, or we’ll just have a variety of different appetizer type foods.

3 Family Game Night Essentials

Family – Of course this is a must have, but you could also do this with friends or co-workers as a great bonding experience and fun night. Gather a group of people you love. Relax, eat good food, and have fun.

Good Food –  What are your favorite foods? Get a variety of those to enjoy while having your game night. You can’t go wrong with chicken wings!

Games – Depending on your crowd will determine your games. Since ours are family game nights and our kids are little we’re playing games like Connect 4, Pie Face, and Uno. If you’re having an adult game night then Cards Against Humanity is really fun. In fact, we’ve had a lot of fun playing pie face as adults. It’s not just for kids y’all!

This looks so fun! We don't do family game night, but should start! I also love Frank's Red Hot, it's a fixture in our fridge.

These wings would make a great addition to Family game night but they would also make a great addition to Football game day!

On game nights, we like pizza, popcorn, and some type of dessert.

All of my children are adults with their own children and even grandchildren. Since I'm the only person here my games are such as Solitaire.
