What would your kid(s) do if they were principal for a day?

What would your kid(s) do if they were principal for a day?

Sharing is caring!

I’ve partnered with BIC to bring you this post.

Today was our daughter’s first day of school and I can’t believe summer went by so quick. Starting a new school year is so bittersweet because I miss my kids while they’re gone, but I love watching them learn, grow, and develop new skills. Our daughter is still at the stage where she is learning to read, write full sentences, and express herself through writing. I love watching her develop her writing skills and we often spend time going over her sight words where she has to write them and spell them. Part of her homework usually includes writing her own story and it’s fun seeing what she’ll come up with each week and watching as her writing skills grow.

I couldn’t wait for her first day to be over and to get all the details about her day. We talked about her new school, her new teacher, and the friends she made. While we were chatting I asked her What she would do if she was principal for a day. It took her a while to come up with an answer, but she said she would make it recess all day because they do so much work. Then I gave her some fun new school supplies from BIC and her excitement was so refreshing. Who knew a kid would get excited over brightly colored pencils.

Our daughter loves anything rainbow colored and BIC’s new XTRA-Fun #2 Pencils with Stripes were right up her alley. Brightly colored, fun, and the perfect tool for her to do her homework. I think she might even enjoy doing her homework a little more now because her pencils are so fun looking. When she’s not practicing her writing or working on her homework she loves to color. BIC’s variety of colored pens come in handy to spark her creativity and allow her to make colorful pictures to hand around our house.

I don't have any kids of my own, but I know that when I was a kid, if I had a chance to be principal for a day, I would have ruled that teachers would be punished for even the smallest misbehavior, but kids could behave however they wanted, whenever they wanted.

What a great question! I homeschooled my daughter so I was her principal. I think she would declare a day of reading and eating in bed. I am pretty sure she would have allowed me to join her in the reading part, but I think I would have had to do all of the cooking!
