Patriotic Charcuterie Board

Last year I put together a flag charcuterie board for kids as a last-minute snack for our kids to enjoy while we watched our local fireworks show, but this year I wanted to make it a bit bigger and with more items for the whole family. Of course, we stuck to the red, white, and blue food theme.

How to Assemble a Patriotic Charcuterie Board

Wash your fruit and dry it well.

Next, I cut my white cheddar cheese into star shapes with a cookie cutter. You can use your favorite white cheese.

Then I took the blue raspberry ropes and folded them into an accordion and placed the star pick through it. It took 3 ropes to fill each star toothpick.

To assemble my board I like to place my bowls down first and then fill items in around them.

There is no perfect way to assemble your board. Start at one corner and work your way around the board. I try to keep moist foods away from foods that can get soggy. Like I wouldn’t place watermelon next to crackers, but otherwise, I just fill in foods around the board until it’s full.

Cover your board and store in the fridge until ready to serve. Enjoy!
