Nutella and Oreo Stuffed Red Velvet Brownies

My daughter and I were scrolling TikTok one night when we saw a similar brownie recipe. Theirs was for an Oreo Red Velvet Brownie, but we knew we had to make some. I couldn’t tell you who the video was from because we first made these brownies over a year ago and I knew I had to share them with the internet because they are SO GOOD.

What sets our Oreo red velvet brownies apart from the rest? We stuff ours with Nutella and add a layer of chocolate brownie mix to the top. So it’s a chocolate brownie, Nutella, Oreo, and red velvet brownie. Chocolate, Chocolate, and More Chocolate! These brownies are rich and they’re worth EVERY bite.

Red Velvet Brownies Recipe

When it comes to baking I am the boxed mix kind of girl. I hate measuring all of the ingredients out and it’s just so much more convenient. So for our red velvet brownie recipe, we’re using red velvet cake mix for our brownie. To make the red velvet brownies with cake mix you mix the cake mix, 1 egg, and 1 stick of melted butter (or 1/2 cup). Combine until it forms a dough. That’s it!

You can store your brownies in an airtight container for about 4 days. I doubt these will last that long though.

To make Nutella and Oreo red velvet brownies you’re going to need:

1 stick of melted butter or 1/2 cup

1 box of Brownie Mix

1 cup Nutella

22 Oreos (give or take)

3 Eggs

1/2 cup Vegetable Oil or Melted Butter

3 tablespoons of Water or Milk

How to Make Oreo Red Velvet Brownies

Before I start this the egg, oil, and water measurements are based on the brownie mix I used. Those could be different for you depending on the mix you use. Make your brownie mix per the box instructions. However, you can swap the oil for butter and water for milk. It helps to give them a more homemade and better taste.

Red Velvet Brownie – Mix together the box of red velvet cake mix, 1 stick of melted butter, and one egg in a bowl. For some extra flair, you can add 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips.

Brownie Mix – Make your brownie mix per the box directions in a separate bowl.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper or grease it really well. You can use a 9×13 pan, but I like the thickness of the brownies in a 9×9.

Place the red velvet brownie mix into the pan and smooth it into an even layer on the bottom of the baking pan.

Place a layer of Oreos over the red velvet brownie mix.

Add the Nutella over the Oreos. Spread the Nutella over the Oreos into an even layer. Since Nutella can be a little thick you can warm it up in the microwave for 30 seconds to make it easier to work with.

Pour the brownie mix over everything and smooth it into an even layer.

Bake for 40-50 minutes.
