Date Night Movie: Need For Speed! #NFSMovie

Sharing is caring!

I was invited to attend a screening of Need for Speed during my trip to LA. All opinions are my own!

Based off the popular video game Need for Speed follows Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), who runs his family’s auto shop and races the underground street circuit with his buddies on weekends, his life is good. But his whole world is turned upside down when he is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. In prison, he spends the next two years thinking about one thing: vengeance. While questioning the morals to which he has always adhered, he is nevertheless determined to bring down his enemies … no matter what the cost.

I didn’t really know much about Need for Speed before walking into the theater other than it’s a game my husband has played before. I loved Aaron Paul in breaking bad and I was eager to see him in a different role. I do have to admit I was hoping he would say the all too familiar B word that he used a lot in breaking bad and was sad when he didn’t, but he did a great job in the movie. Need for Speed is your typical racing movie – sexy cars, eye candy, comedy, and lots of action. From start to finish it had me on the edge of my seat and I was left wondering what was going to happen next. It’s the perfect date night movie, so leave the littles at home and head out with your significant other to have some alone time and watch this great action film. You’ll be left laughing, crying, in suspense, and possibly even startled. There may have been a scene where a bunch of us almost jumped out of our seats! You’ll just have to see the movie to find out why…
Need for Speed is in theaters nationwide starting today, March 14th!

I definitely need to rent this movie. Not real sure why we missed seeing this in the theater. Sounds like a great one for our weekly pizza and movie night.

The thing I was the most impressed about is that ALL of the car stunts in this are done for real-no computer graphics! I was really surprised to find out that this was based on a video game.

I hope this is a good movie, I really like Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad and want to see him do well now that the show is over.

Had not even seen commercials for this movie. I played the video game once, but can't imagine making a film based off of it. The premise for the movie is one that I will definitely like and Aaron Paul is easy on the eyes.

I want to see this movie. My son has played the game for years, so I know a little about it. Thanks for the review!
