Diapers for Those in Need in Denver, Colorado!

Sharing is caring!

This post brought to you by Huggies to share information about the Denver Bottom Line Diaper Bank.

When we had our babies I had so much fun preparing for their arrival. Stocking up on necessities, splurging on little extras, and celebrating their arrivals with our nearest and dearest family and friends. Our community of loved ones also had fun showering our babies to be with gifts and one of the gifts we received a lot of was diapers. Diapers are a must have when you have a baby and one of their top needs, but unfortunately not every baby has the diapers he/she will need.

I wasn’t always in a position where I could afford all of my child’s needs. When I had my oldest son I was a teen mom and wasn’t working. If it wasn’t for my son’s grandma’s he wouldn’t have had a lot of the things he needed, like diapers. I am forever thankful to them for the help they provided us, but I know not everyone has that support. Nationally, diaper need affects 1 in 3 families — meaning parents often have to choose between paying for food or buying diapers, which can take an extreme emotional toll on both parents and babies. In Colorado about 1 in 5 children under age 3 are living below the federal poverty line and need help.

Thankfully in Denver there is the Bottom Line Diaper Bank who helps families who need diapers. Huggies and Vizient partnered together for the first time to help Denver area families in need in honor of Vizient’s annual Clinical Connections Summit which took place in downtown Denver on September 13 – 14. In an effort to raise awareness for diaper need and make a positive impact in the community where the conference is being held, the two are donating 10,000 diapers to The Bottom Line diaper bank (a member of the National Diaper Bank Network) in Denver.

I wasn’t able to attend the great diaper drive that took place, but I love that Huggies and Vizient worked together to drop off the much needed diapers to All Saints Catholic Church in Denver. If you would like to donate diapers or volunteer, visit the Bottom Line Diaper Bank or the National Diaper Bank Network.
