5 Protein Packed Snacks Perfect for On-the-Go!

At the start of every year I decide I am going to start some new diet and it always fails because I never stick to it. This year I tossed everything out the door and decided I would start with making better eating choices and making sure I actually eat. I can go half the day before I remember to eat some days or I am so busy I am just grabbing random junk and shoving it in my face. So to try and avoid that I try to make sure I have better food options on hand, meal plan, and have snacks ready to grab and eat. Protein is great for keeping you full longer, cutting back on hunger, and it a better choice than sugar and carb filled foods. One of my favorite sources of protein is cheese, especially string cheese.

My advice is to look at labels when you’re shopping. Look for items that are low in sugar and sodium and the higher protein, the better. All of these delicious snacks can be portioned out into small containers or bags for the week and they’re ready to go for when you need a quick, but healthy snack. Toss them in your purse, gym bag, or backpack and they help you to avoid the vending machine, drive-through, or the “bad” snacks in the break room. string cheese is go to for a protein snack! Mixed nuts are also up there, I haven't tried Luna bars tho. How do they compare to zone bars?
