Supplies Needed to make a College Gift Card Book
Printer – You’ll need a printer to print out your free gift card book. This is an affordable printer that would be great for printing out printables. However, this is my favorite printer and the ink lasts a long time! Or you can use a local print shop.
Printer Paper or Cardstock – For this gift card book you’ll want to use cardstock, but any printer paper will work in a pinch. Cardstock is thicker and sturdier to help hold the weight of the gift card without being flimsy.
Scissors or a Paper Cutter: So you can cut your hpages out.
Tape – You’ll need tape to attach the gift cards to the pages, but glue dots also work.
Photo Album or Binding Machine – These are the albums I like to use. You can also use a binding machine like this. This one is cheap and simple, but I really like the we r memory keepers one. You can also go to your local print shop and have them bind it for you. It should be around $5-6. We R Memory keepers is a bit more expensive, but if you’ll be making gift card books over the years it’s worth the price.
How to Assemble a Gift Card Photo Album
Once you have all your supplies it’s time to put your gift card book together. This part is pretty straightforward.
Step 1: Print Your Files: Download and Print Your Files.
Step 2: Cut Down Your Files: Once your files are printed you’ll want to cut them down to 5×7 in size. Just follow the grey cut lines.
Step 3: Add Pages to Your Album: Place the cover page on the front of the album. Place the letter on the first page of the album. Then insert your pages into the book with the gift cards attached. You’ll have extra page sleeves, you can add more pages or use colorful cardstock and write letters, add memories, and share photos.
If you’re ditching the album and going for a bound book, you’ll follow the same steps, but once you have all your pages cut you’ll need to bind them into a book. You can get your book spiral bound at a local print shop, Fedex Office, Office Depot, or Staples.
