Sharing is caring!

Halloween graveyard dirt cup snack bags are an easy Halloween treat for kids. Bone shaped graham crackers, pudding, crushed Oreos, gummy worms, and edible blood are added to the graham cracker snack bags to make a walking dirt cup or dirt cup snack bag for kids!

Graveyard dirt snack bags are similar to a traditional dirt cup, except they’re made in the snack-sized bag the graham crackers come in. This makes them portable, easy to assemble, and easy to clean up. Great as a classroom Halloween snack or Halloween parties.

Walking Dirty Cup snack bags is a walking dessert. Walking desserts make for easier cleanup, less mess, and are portable for on-the-go snacking!

What is a Walking dessert?

A walking dessert is similar to walking tacos. You use the bag that your base comes in, in this case, graham crackers, and add your fillings and toppings to the bag. The bag acts as the bowl or cup; you can eat the dessert right out of the bag with a spoon. You can make a variety of walking dessert combinations like banana cream pie or strawberry shortcake, but for our Halloween worms in dirt recipe, we’re doing a dirt cup.

How to Store Walking Dirt Cups

You can make the edible fake blood and pudding mix up to a day in advance. The pudding should be stored in the fridge until ready to enjoy and the edible fake blood can be stored on the counter. Walking dirt cups should be eaten within 1-2 hours of being assembled, but do best when eaten right away.

Walking Dirt Cup Snack Bag Ingredients

To make your Halloween graveyard dirt cups snack bags you’re going to need:

  • 11 bags of Scooby Snacks (bones)
  • 1 (3.4 oz.) box of Vanilla Pudding (prepared) or vanilla pudding cups
  • 2 sleeves of Oreos (crushed into dirt)
  • ½ a cup of Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of Corn Starch
  • Red Food Coloring
  • Gummy Worms
  • Candy Eyeballs

How to Make Walking Dirt Cup Snack Bag

Start by preparing your vanilla pudding per the package directions. You can use the premade vanilla pudding cups if you choose.

Crush your Oreos. It is best if you remove the center of the Oreos, but you can leave them in.

Cut the tops off of each bag of Scooby Snacks. If you want the scooby snacks to be in bite-sized pieces you can give them a few squishes in the bag before cutting off the top.

Add 3 spoonfuls of prepared pudding to each bag.

Add 2 spoonfuls of Oreo crumbs to each bag.

Next, place your corn syrup, corn starch, and food coloring into a mixing bowl.

Mix until smooth. If your edible fake blood is lumpy try adding it to the microwave for 20 seconds and whisking until smooth. Heating it up can help to remove lumps.

Add gummy worms to each bag, about 3 or 4.

Top with edible fake blood and candy eyes.

Serve your spooky snack and enjoy!
