Gerber’s New 3rd Foods® Lil Bits™ Recipes + Instant Win Game!

Sharing is caring!

Last week I was invited to attend an event where I got to learn about Gerber’s 3rd Foods® Lil Bits™ Recipes #GerberChewU. Gerber has been a brand I’ve used and trusted for years and with our newest little one set to arrive next week i’ll be back in the baby food stages before I know it, so I like to stay on top of what’s new and good for the babies. The Gerber’s 3rd Foods® Lil Bits™ Recipes line is a great new addition to the Gerber foods family and I can’t wait to begin using them with our little girl when she’s ready to make the transition to table food, but in the mean time I got to learn all about the new product and spend some time with other moms.

Gerber is launching 10 new Lil’ Bits recipes specially made to help crawlers learn to chew and mash. Lil’ Bits recipes were created to help teach babies how to chew by adding the right sized, soft pieces of fruit or veggies to each variety and they’re a great food for that transition. The Lil’ Bits recipes come in 7 fruits and 3 veggies flavors such as: Fruits: Apple Blueberry, Orchard Fruit Medley, Apple Banana, Banana Apple Strawberry, Pear Apple Berry, Island Fruit Blend and Banana Apple Mango and the are Veggies: Mixed Carrots, Corn & Butternut Squash, Butternut Squash & Potato, Sweet Potato Apple Carrots & Cinnamon Lil’ Bits recipes come in convenient plastic tubs which make them easy to take on the go and store.

Introducing pureed foods with advanced textures at the Crawler milestone is highly recommended for children to explore and feel multiple textures within the mouth without having to manage numerous separate food components. As older babies develop side to side movement of their tongue they can begin to move small, soft pieces of food to their jawline for mashing, the early skills of chewing. Children who have not been exposed to “lumpy food” that require mashing and chewing before 10 months of age have experienced difficulties transitioning to more advanced foods.
