#AReasonToSmile: Pretzel Ice Cream Bites

This post is sponsored by Dreyer’s #Areasontosmile. All stories are 100% my own!

This kids are back in school and fall is just around the corner. This is my favorite time of year since the weather is starting to cool down, the Holidays are near by, and I get a little bit of quiet during the day when the kids are gone. As much as I enjoy the break from my littler monsters I miss them to pieces and like to have fun little treats for them waiting when they get home.

Dreyer's Ice Cream

Ice cream is a family favorite in our house and no one ever turns it down. Dreyer’s is a brand I grew up enjoying and it’s my go to ice cream at the store. Since we all love ice cream so much I decided to try out a fun new treat for the kids. The great thing about this recipe besides being easy to do, is there is no baking involved and the kids can help!

Ingredients:

Pretzels – Square are best, but the twist ones work too

Ice Cream flavor of your choice

Chocolate for drizzling or dipping

Directions:

Step 1: Lay your pretzels on a dish or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 2: Take 1 tsp of ice cream and drop it onto a pretzel. You’ll want to do this as quick as possible since the ice cream will start to melt.

Step 3: Place another pretzel on top of the ice cream/pretzel.

Step 4: Put pretzel bites in the freezer for a few hours to harden. Once they’re solid you’ll want to drizzle them with melted chocolate. You can eat them right away or return to the freezer and enjoy them later.

Step 5: ENJOY!

The great thing about this recipe is you can make as little or as much as you want, but I’ll warn you. You’ll want to make more because they’ll go fast and leave you wanting MORE.

Ice Cream is one of our reasons to smile. What makes your family smile?
