Sundance Mountain Lodge in Monument, Colorado! #VisitCos

Sharing is caring!

I was provided with a room at the Sundance Mountain Lodge. All opinions are 100% my own!

Last weekend my mom came to visit and while she was here she wanted to take a trip down to Colorado Springs, which is a little over an hour outside of Denver. I figured we would make it a weekend trip so we could enjoy our time down there and the Sundance Mountain Lodge was nice enough to invite us to stay there. The Sundance Mountain Lodge is a hotel located in Monument, Colorado about 15-20 minutes outside of Colorado Springs. The eco-friendly hotel is not your typical cookie cutter hotel. Located on 5 acres of land with mountain views, mini waterfalls, paths, and bridges. The Sundance Mountain Lodge has a ski lodge feel without being in the mountains, it’s quiet, cozy, and perfect for a getaway, wedding, or business meeting.

We had a Courtyard room with 2 double beds. The beds were comfy with lots of pillows and plenty of warm blankets. The rooms have cable TV, wireless internet, a mini fridge, and microwave. and the bathroom in our room was stocked with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner which was a nice treat, especially if you forget to bring your own. As soon as we got there my mom laid down to take a nap and the toddler and I headed out on the balcony to relax. We had a gorgeous view of the courtyard and there was a waterfall and stream right outside our room that was very relaxing to listen too. Once my mom got up we headed over to the hotel restaurant called Oakley’s for happy hour where we enjoy some delicious half priced appetizers. The cafe & bistro has a full dinner menu, bar, and even karaoke and live music on certain nights and in the morning it serves as the spot for the hotels complimentary breakfast with cereals, pastries, bagels, fruit, juice, and yogurt.

On our second night there we came back and got to witness a small beautiful wedding taking place. I can see why they picked the Sundance Mountain Lodge since the property is beautiful and well taken care of. We managed to find some time to head over to the pool area where there is also a hot tub. There were plenty of lounge chairs and towels and the toddler had a blast swimming and splashing around in it. I was thrilled that the hotel wasn’t overly noisy. We heard very minimal to no outside noise and didn’t hear our neighbors or their doors. The hotel seemed to be fairly quiet and we really enjoyed that.

All in all the Sundance Mountain Lodge was a great hotel to stay at just outside of Colorado Springs. The hotel staff was friendly, rooms cozy, and property beautiful. Plus the hotel is affordable!
