Our adventure with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Dragons!

Sharing is caring!

I haven’t been to the circus since I was a little kid and I don’t remember much from the trip except for the Elephants. When I saw that Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Dragons was coming to town I knew I wanted to take my daughter. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Dragons is in Denver, Co from 9/27 – 10/04/12.

There are pre-show events 90 minutes and 60 minutes before the show starts that you can partake in. I wanted to check some of them out, but due to extremely bad traffic we didn’t make it in time to do that. There was free parking down the street from the Coliseum, but I opted for the fairly cheap parking right across the street from the entrance. I was expecting the circus to be total mayhem, but we got our tickets and went inside and surprisingly enough it was pretty calm. We found our seats quickly and the circus started shortly after.

Like all concerts or kids events there are vendors all over selling stuff. When we first walked in we picked up a light up wand for my daughter to play with during the show. When we sat down there were vendors walking around selling cotton candy, lemonade, popcorn, and some toys. We purchased cotton candy and lemonade, which were on the pricy side, but the cotton candy came with a circus hat and the lemonade with a cup she can use again…

Once the show started the circus did great at getting the crowd going and the Dragons show was a mix between the regular circus and the dragons/Asian theme.

I don’t want to give too much about the show away, but it was very entertaining and my daughter and I had so much fun. The clowns were hilarious, the animals did great tricks, and the other performances were great. I wasn’t sure if my 2 year old would like it, but she LOVED it. Her favorites were the animals and clowns. I loved the cats doing tricks, who knew they could do them?? I watched in amazement. I also liked the elephants tricks and globe of steel!

All in All is was a great night at the Greatest show on earth. Everyone around us was laughing and having a good time, along with my daughter and I. It’s definitely worth buying tickets to go!

*I was given tickets for promotional purposes. Regardless, all opinions are 100% my own.

I remember taking the kids when they were little to the circus. It is always such a fun time! I haven't been in a while, will have to keep my ears open for the next time they are in the area.
