Back to School preparation time is here! With this comes school supplies to buy, lists to check off, and kids who need to get back on school schedules. I did my sons back to school shopping a few weeks ago and now we are just waiting for school to start. Have you started back to school shopping? What are some things you do to prepare?
For more than 150 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of America have been helping kids reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Through a wide range of programs including arts, education, sports and leadership, young people are given the opportunity to be involved in life-enhancing experiences.
The Boys & Girls Club has partnered with great companies such as Disney and JcPenney to help provide kids with school supplies and there are some low cost and easy ways you can help too!
Do your back to school clothes and shoes shopping at JcPenney during the month of August so you can join jcp cares and round up your purchase at the register. You will get great clothes and shoes, but also help BGCA in the process.
Another way to help is with Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) and Disney. They have partnered to launch the Tools for Back to School initiative. This initiative features a pop-quiz style game, where supplies are donated to BGCA for every correct answer you score. I’ve been playing this fun & easy quiz and it’s good to know it’s going to a good cause.
Also available on the Tools for Back to School Initiative page are different educational content and tip sheets for parents to download and utilize. You can find them on the left hand side of the BGCA site under the ‘Get Ready’ header.
Be Sure to Join the Mom Central and Boys and Girls Twitter Party on Thursday, August 23rd from 3-4 PM EST.
Giving back to youth in need is a great feeling. Visit your local JCP and Round up and/or Play the Disney pop-quiz style game to help children in need. You’ll be glad you did…
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Boys and Girls Club. I received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
