2013 Van’s Warped Tour with Kia! #KiaWarped

Sharing is caring!

Kia Motors provided transportation, hotel, and food for the weekend so I could attend Van’s Warped Tour!

Kia Warped Tour

Last month I was given the wonderful opportunity to attend Van’s Warped Tour on behalf of Kia. This was exciting for a few reasons – 1. I love Kia cars 2. I had never been to a Warped Tour before and 3. It was taking place near my hometown, San Francisco. Now I’m sure some of you are wondering what Kia has to do with the Van’s Warped Tour, but they are the official Transportation sponsor for the tour. They have special stages set up for performances along with their own booth with Kia swag and other fun stuff planned at the different stops.

Kia dropped off a 2014 Sorento for me to drive around that weekend and let me just tell you that the new Sorento is pretty awesome! On Friday afternoon I made my way to the W Hotel in San Francisco where I would be staying for the weekend and relaxed before meeting the other bloggers and heading to dinner with Kia.

On Saturday morning I got up, had breakfast at the hotel, and then headed to the lobby to meet with the rest of the bloggers on the trip. We were all heading down to Warped Tour in our Kia Vehicles and I was beyond excited, since this was my first Warped Tour and the weather that weekend was gorgeous. Once we arrived to Warped Tour we all met up again and got to meet the Kia team working at Warped Tour and then we had a private meet and greet with We Came as Romans.

After our meet and greet and a little exploring it was time for lunch backstage. There were some more firsts for me here as well. I’ve never been backstage before and that was pretty awesome! Being able to go behind the scenes was completely surreal and if you ever have the chance to do it, I highly recommend it. We had a catered lunch where I had my first gyro (really delicious, btw) and if I knew who most of the bands were I probably would have been losing my mind since they were all back there having lunch. After lunch we were left to do more exploring, so I wondered around a bit and checked out some new bands and went backstage to one of the shows. This was another first for me. Being able to stand on the stage that a major band is playing on is surreal and so cool. I wish going to every concert was like that…

After some exploring I headed back to the Kia tent to rest my sore pregnant feet and check out the Acoustic set with the band Sleeping with Sirens. This was a private show that Kia put together with the band and they filled the tent with people to watch up close and personal. Most of the tent was filled with teenage girls and apparently this band is a pretty big deal to them because the screams that those girls let out left my ears ringing for a few minutes. THEY.ARE.LOUD! BUT I can see why they’re such a hit. Not only were they cute, but they have some good music. After the Acoustic set it was time to head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and I couldn’t have been happier with the days events.

My first Warped Tour, My first time backstage, I listened to some awesome new bands, I met We Came As Romans, and I got to drive around the 2014 Kia Sorento! If Van’s Warped Tour is coming near you then I highly recommend attending. It’s a day full of fun…
