How to Make Fair Style Lemonade

You can make your Fair Style Lemonade recipe in any container you see fit, but for fun, we’re using the 32oz containers.

Ingredients and Supplies:

Lemon – The main ingredient.

Sugar – Adds sweetness, but can be substituted for a sugar alternative.

Water – Another main ingredient.

Ice – To keep it cold

Fresh Fruit or Flavoring (optional) – If you want to do a flavored lemonade you can add some sliced fresh fruit or drink syrup to give it a fruity flavor.

32 oz Containers with Lids – These can be used as your cups and are the perfect size for your drink, but you can use a large cup instead. Mason jars would also be perfect for this recipe.

Drink Straw Punch – If you want to add a hole to the lid of the container you can do so with this.

Muddle – Used to smash the lemon and fruit to get the juices out.

Paper Straws (optional)

How to Make State Fair Lemonade

Step 1: Grab 1 lemon and slice it into 4-8 pieces. The smaller the pieces the easier it will be to smash. Make sure to remove the seeds.

Step 2: Add Lemon to a 32 oz container (or any container you want to use). If you are using any fresh fruit also add that, just a few slices ex: 2 strawberries sliced.

Step 3: Use your muddle to smash the lemon (and fruit). You want to smash it really good to get all the juice out of the lemons. You could cheat and use a lemon press and add the juice and peels to the container, but that takes some of the fun out of it.

Step 4: Add sugar, ice, and water to the container. If you are using fruit syrup add that now: 3 to 4 pumps of your favorite fruit syrup. Add lid and shake well until sugar is dissolved and the drink is mixed well. You could also use a spoon to do this.

Step 5: (optional) Use a punch to punch a hold in the lid of your container, add a straw, and enjoy. You could also remove the lid and drink it that way or pour your lemonade into another container!
