Healthier Snacks for Tiny Tots!

Healthier Snacks for Tiny Tots!

Sharing is caring!

Thank you to Happy Family for sponsoring this post about Healthy snacks for toddlers, like organic whole milk yogurt pouches with probiotics available at Walmart.

If you know my tiny terror tot then you know she is full of sass and full of snacks. Our kids are huge snackers. They could finished a meal, proclaim they’re full, and within an hour they are asking for a snack. So when it comes to snackin’ I like to have a variety of options for them that are healthy, nutritious, and that they’ll enjoy – like Happy Tot whole yogurt available at Walmart.

Our younger kids LOVE snacks that are in pouches and they’re a favorite of mine as well. They’re low mess, portable, and easy for them to feed themselves. If I can find something they love in a pouch it’s ending up in our pantry. The Happy Tot whole yogurt is available in pouches and I feel like my whole life has changed when it comes to tiny humans eating yogurt. Yogurt is a snack my kids love, but I don’t love the mess they make. It always ends up all over the table, floor, and themselves, but with the Happy Tot whole yogurt pouches I can twist off a top and they can enjoy one of their favorite healthier snacks.

Yogurt

Happy Tot whole yogurt is USDA organic, contains no gmo’s, and has no added sweeteners. I love that the first ingredient listed is whole milk with vitamin D and they contain good for the tummy probiotics. Most babies can start eating yogurt as soon as they start eating solids – around six months, which pediatricians actually recommend, and it’s something that I enjoy as an adult. Whole milk yogurt is an excellent choice for one of your baby’s and toddler’s early foods because it contains nutrients such as calcium, protein, and vitamins.

Fruit

Fruit is another big snack in our house and my kids love apple slices, strawberries, and small oranges.

String Cheese

String Cheese is another daily must for our kids and it’s mom approved because it’s a great source of protein, portable, and who doesn’t love to string their cheese and eat it?

Snacks with Hidden Veggies

Shhhh, don’t tell the kids, but those crunchy snacks they LOVE are packed with super foods like sweet potato and spinach.

Oatmeal

I know you’re thinking Oatmeal is for breakfast and while you’re correct it also makes a great snack. Add some fresh fruit on top and my kids are happy snackers.

Diced Meat

Another great source of protein and another snack that makes my littles happy. I often find them in the fridge getting into the deli meat.

Granola or Cereal Bars

I keep some of these in the car because they’re the perfect on the go snack. Individually wrapped, they last awhile, and my kids inhale them. Be sure to buy the ones without all the sugar and added junk.

These are just a few of our favorite snacks, but the list is always growing as I introduce new foods to my kids.
